How ScamGuard Works
ScamGuard is meant to be simple. It checks domains, shows warnings, and lets people help improve the results.
1. You visit a site
The extension looks at the domain name of the site you are on.
2. ScamGuard checks it
It compares that domain against community reports and trusted records.
3. You get a result
If the domain looks suspicious, blocked, or questionable, you get a warning.
How community voting fits in
People can report domains that look dangerous and vouch for domains they believe are safe. ScamGuard uses those votes, along with other safeguards, to update domain status over time.
This means ScamGuard is not a fixed list. It can change when new evidence comes in.
What ScamGuard does not do
It does not read your browsing history, scan all page content, or try to be a full antivirus product. It focuses on one job: helping you make better decisions about domains and suspicious sites.
